Position Overview: Join the vibrant academic community of the Department of Counselor Education, nestled within the esteemed Farrington College of Education & Human Development at a leading educational institution. We are currently seeking passionate adjunct instructors to enrich our online MA degree program in School Counseling. This opportunity aims to expand our adjunct pool to fulfill both current and future program needs. Responsibilities: Facilitate engaging and interactive online courses tailored to equip aspiring school counselors with data-driven insights and a commitment to equity. Collaborate closely with core faculty members as course leads to ensure cohesive program delivery. Model effective leadership by fostering a growth mindset, encouraging reflective practices, and fostering practical-based learning activities. Foster a collegial environment that champions our mission and values, promoting inclusivity and belonging to support student success. Participate in meetings with course coordinators and the Program Director to provide valuable input and ensure program expectations are met. Additionally, contribute to core courses such as Human Development. Course Structure: Courses follow either an 8 or 15-week, asynchronous format, leveraging the Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System (LMS). Class meetings may be conducted at the instructor’s discretion. Required Qualifications: PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from a CACREP-accredited institution. MA degree in School Counseling. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school counselor. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching within distance learning formats (hybrid, online, asynchronous, synchronous), utilizing various technologies including Blackboard, Tevera, and Zoom.
