Role: Business Systems Analyst

A key part of this mission is ensuring we have optimized IT infrastructure and to do that, we need a qualified and dedicated business analyst. Preferred candidates will be skilled at identifying pain points, capturing requirements and working with vendors to implement & test technical solutions and best in class business process workflow to streamline company operations. The business analyst will be deeply involved in daily work across all business units, regularly interacting with both stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Objectives of this role:
- Develop an understanding of our existing IT infrastructure while actively searching for improvement areas
- Streamline workflows by implementing inventive technical solutions
- Engage with stakeholders, updating them on IT development processes and costs
- Drive organization-wide process optimization
- Meet short- and long-term business goals
- Evaluate existing and emerging technologies on a regular basis
Responsibilities:
- Connect with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify problem areas
- Procure technical partners and work closely with them to propose IT solutions to company challenges
- Deliver comprehensive SOP documentation
- Partner with teams across business functions to drive organizational efficiency through best practice creation and business process design & implementation
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle inclusive of scope definition and program management, through launch and operationalization of the systems and/or features, including negotiating and setting achievements and expectations with other departments
- Independently lead and collaborate across projects of varying scale and different stages of development across the Clare V. roadmap
- Partner cross-functionally to define, gain alignment & deliver on strategic roadmaps that include systems, capabilities & tools that support the operational needs of internal teams across the company
- Constantly monitors competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in order to recommend strategies and tactics to improve overall operational systems & processes
- Work closely with upper management, subject matter experts and department heads to provide project status and impacts to their relative areas of responsibility, gaining buy-in before making decisions
- Technical aptitude capable of learning and understanding products, applications and business processes quickly; Able to make suggestions on data management & process improvements within the organization
- Lead UAT and ensure users are well informed and well prepared for new systems or feature launches
- Lead the research of new software and vendors as-needed or in coordination with tech consultant
- Partner throughout the systems design and development process with vendors, consultants, engineers
- Manage third-party partners and technologies for companywide systems (i.e. ERP, Demand Planner)
- Define success metrics and deliver capabilities in support of those metrics on time & within budget
- Ensure any relevant systems are CCPA/CPRA and GDPR compliant
- Foster a growth mindset across the organization, providing data insights on the systems landscape as needed to gain buy in on new software, features or changes
- Performs project management, business analysis and QA testing duties as needed on relevant projects, to be determined during roadmap planning process
- Manages systems ongoing from an operational management support perspective and ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner, plans for necessary upgrades and feature improvements as needed
- Individual contributor role that manages external tech consulting team and business analyst consultant
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years experience in a hands-on Systems Implementation role, preferably in a retail environment
- Consistent track record in implementing systems such as ERP, PLM, Demand Planner, OMS, PIM or the like
- Knowledge of full package manufacturing and cut, make, sew manufacturing a plus
- Operates as a servant leader to the organization; collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners
- Strong partnership and excellent communication skills, including executive-level communications
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple projects of varying lengths, while meeting quality standards and timelines; experience leading all aspects of complex schedules
- Experience building and delivering roadmaps
- Ability to make high level strategic proposals and also perform individual work and in-depth analysis
- Ability to draw inspiration from industry technology, pushes the envelope on relevant innovation
