Day to Day:
A large healthcare provider is looking for a Med Surg/Tele RN to join their team. This hospital focuses on providing high-quality health care to a variety of populations within Los Angeles, CA. The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients within the MS units and post-surgical unit, as well as assist with chemotherapy and oncology patients when needed. This unit operates on a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio, where the Registered Nurse will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and evaluating patients, and assisting physicians with procedures all while maintaining standards of care within the unit. The Registered Nurse will also be responsible for monitoring and interpreting data regarding patient heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements. They will be required to respond quickly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with medical staff to determine a treatment plan. This will be a block schedule consisting of 3-12 hours shifts for full-time, and 2-12 hours shifts for part-time, with rotating weekends, Saturday, and Sunday required. Day and night shifts are available.
– Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC Certification)
– ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
– Experience using Epic
Must haves:
– 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
– 1+ years of Telemetry experience
– Active and valid CA RN License
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
– BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
– Experience working in an acute care/hospital setting
– Covid vaccination and booster
– Good communication and flexibility/ability to adapt
