Ocean Import/Export Operations Specialist

Operations Specialist Role The Operations Specialist is responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts.

The individual will have contact with customers, carriers and potential customers on a daily basis.

He/she must be proactive in providing quality customer service and have the ability to handle pressure and responsibility in a fast pace environment, in a timely and affective manner.

The successful candidate must have good customer service skill and handle dual task.

Being proactive in providing quality customer service is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties Maintain contact with the trucking companies, carriers, warehouses, to ensure smooth handling of shipments Ensure service completion and provide proof of delivery.

Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.

Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.

Liaising with the vendors for invoices and payments.

Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.

Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for customer satisfaction, and ensure excellent service execution.

Maintain reports as required Knowledge and Skills A minimum of 3 years industry experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail Strong analytical, verbal/written communication, customer service, and time management skill High school diploma/GED Excellent organizational skills Proficient computer skills Team player and forward-thinker Benefits Medical insurance after 3-month probation Medical leave and Vacation after one year
