Position Summary Position Type: Full-time employee Experience Level: Mid-Senior Platform: Maya / Unity Location: Gainesville, FL (on-site) Country: United States Responsibilities Create concept art with the collaboration of the Head of Content and business owners to set the art style across products Manage and hire additional art team members as needed, for both as contract and employee positions Create polished final illustrations, while maintaining style consistency Modify and improve upon existing game assets Provide and stick to realistic time schedules and estimates Squeeze the last bit of beauty out of every available pixel Requirements A portfolio that demonstrates illustrations and concept art you’ve created and your process The ability to set and communicate 3D asset requirements to others Knowledge of modern techniques for painting, lighting, and animating 2D characters and environments Demonstrable understanding of lighting, composition, shapes, colors, atmosphere, and style Ability to take and provide honest feedback Excellent verbal and written communication skills Nice to Have Have previously managed and hired a team of creative individuals Previously created illustrations released in shipped products Previously created concepts for environments / characters in released products Experience creating 3D art (especially for the Unity game engine) Have worked on artwork for children’s games / animations To Apply Apply online using this form .
