AHEAD is currently our IT department’s largest international project.
The overarching purpose of AHEAD is to simplify and improve business processes and IT systems internationally.
This means that experts from all business areas worldwide, in conjunction with the International and National IT departments, are in the process of completely rethinking our processes and replacing our country-specific solutions with worldwide standard software such as SAP and Manhattan.
In this role the IT Applications Specialist I
– AHEAD will report to the IT Manager AHEAD Sales, Forecasting and Replenishment and will assist in the testing, deployment and related support of various software solutions within ALDI Stores as a part of the AHEAD Deployment Team.
The position will work directly with experts from multiple business areas, both nationally and internationally, to ensure successful deployment.
The ideal candidate must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to coordinate schedules, mitigate conflicts, and align with managers, analysts, and other specialists across various projects.
This position requires the ability to be self-directed and work effectively in a complex matrix environment.
Position Type: Full-Time (During Stores Cutover some rotating overnight work will be required) Work Location: Aurora, IL This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Resolves incidents and requests in a timely manner; documents work and resolution steps within service management tool.
• Escalates incidents and requests to appropriate internal personnel or external vendors when further expertise is required.
• Participates in the overall Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management processes for software and hardware solutions.
• Assists or coordinates with national and international project delivery, including documentation, testing, training, and deployment for software or hardware solutions.
• Adheres to standards, policies, and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
• During Stores Cutover some rotating overnight work will be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge required.
Physical Requirements:
• Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Travel:
• International & Domestic travel required.
• Up to 10%.
