Full Time Management Hamilton NJ Store, Hamilton, NJ, US Requisition ID: 2517 The Retail Manager increases sales and profits by being responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day functions of the sales floor, and the customer experience.
The Retail Manager upholds company standards throughout all customer areas of the store (inside and outside), remaining aware of customer needs, and ensuring fast, accurate and friendly service at the cash registers and on the retail floor.
The Retail Manager supervision takes the form of side-by-side involvement in the work to observe, assess and coach performance, as well as to set the pace of work.

Continually monitor and set the pace of work.
Understand company objectives, local market potential and have the ability to analyze and act on key metrics, observations and information.
Inspect sales floor for shop-ability, space allocations and merchandising standards and ensure a positive customer experience at all points of interaction.
Lead the generation of new Loyalty Card membership.
Prioritize and direct team member activity.
Customer Service: Receive and respond to customer questions, requests and complaints.
Address special customer needs and team member purchases as needed.
Deliver a positive and unforgettable customer experience by setting the example for, as well as training and coaching, customer service expectations.
Actively engage with the customer by seeking first hand customer feedback to make improvements to all aspects of the shopping and donor and experience.
Implement the set-up of sales and marketing promotions & programs.
Retail Sales Floor Operations: Schedule supervisors and team members for cash registers and sales floor to meet customer demand.
Monitor sales per retail labor hour metric regularly throughout each shift to ensure it meets target and determine the need to increase, decrease or reassign staffing.
Ensure a quick, accurate and positive cash register experience for customers.
Continuously assess the sales floor and direct team member activity, to ensure that standards are met.
Identify sub-standard departments &/or categories and take action for resolution.
Manage cash & tender controls.
Perform morning accounting and banking procedures.
Leadership and Development: Lead, direct and supervise the work of supervisors and retail team members.
Plan staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection and training.
Identify and develop high potential supervisors and team members through on-the-job, guided work.
Maintain a respectful values-driven workplace.
Use open communication tools and convert team member input into meaningful action.
Address complaints and resolve issues consistent with our values, policies and procedures.
Provide recognition and candid feedback.
In the absence of the Store Manager, oversees the store and team in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
This includes implementing and administering company programs, policies and procedures.
Makes decisions and takes reasonable action in the absence of the Store Manager.
Performs any other task, function or responsibility as instructed by their immediate supervisor and/or superior manager of the Company.
Loss Prevention, Safety, & Cash/Tender Control: Protect company assets and information by ensuring their safe handling, security and integrity.
Manage cash and tender controls.
Perform morning accounting and banking procedures as needed.
Proactively promote loss prevention awareness by upholding procedures and ensuring policies are in place.
Maintain a safe work environment through education, consistent follow up, ensuring policies and procedures are in place, and supporting monthly safety meetings.
Skills: Ability to read, speak and write English fluently.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
