As the Director of Operations for UCLA Health Operation Mend, you will lead general program operations, patient scheduling, finance ($9 million operating budget), facilities, human resources, information systems/information technology, logistics, purchasing, marketing, revenue cycle management, internal and external reporting, etc.

You will also represent Operation Mend with national organizations and networks as directed by the Executive Director.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a flexible, patient-focused, service oriented professional with:
Advanced degree in business, health care administration or public policy (MBA preferred)
Extensive healthcare experience, preferably in the management of academic medicine, faculty practice and hospital-based clinical operations
Extensive experience working with Non-Profit stakeholders
Five or more years of managing experience in an academic medical setting
Ability to effectively integrate functions with business plans
Exceptional strategic planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to create innovative solutions and formulate action plans/alternatives
Ability to develop, implement and monitor systems to support department goals
Working knowledge of financial system design, programming and application
Strong leadership and fiscal management abilities
Knowledge of principles of accounting and financial management
Five or more years of proficiency in financial analysis, planning, preparation and administration of multi-million-dollar budgets with multiple funding sources
Ability to interact diplomatically with the public
Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of personnel policies/procedures and affirmative action guidelines
Skill in management of space, equipment and material resources
Knowledge of federal, state, and industry funding agencies
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to evaluate and implement new hardware, software and networks
Knowledge of university financial ledgers and accounting procedures preferred
