Western Regional Sales Manager – Commercial

Job Purpose 

  • Regional Coverage for Large Laundry sales: WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT,WY, UT, AZ, CO, NM, ND, SD, NE, KS
  • National liaison with Miele’s Domestic division on the P rofessional F or T he H ome (PFTH) segment
  • Has the sales responsibility within the defined customer segments in the respective territory
  • Drives growth of top line (value and volume)
  • Manages costs which under his/her control
  • Develops and executes sales strategy for respective territory in line with country guidance
  • Builds a strong network with key customers and opinion leaders in the respective territory

Essential Functions

  • Responsibiliy for agreed upon targets in respective territory (e.g. Net Sales, units, costs)
  • Development and execution of strategies, tactical plans and gap closing activities by customer to achieve agreed upon targets
  • Preparing, conducting and following up on meetings with customers assigned to respective territory
  • Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with customers, ultimately helping them to achieve their business goals
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to open new points of distribution
  • Continuously monitoring activities of competitor and industry developments
  • Ensure deep product knowledge by participation in trainings, E-learnings and on-the-job self-learning
  • Conduct regular product trainings with customers and participate in product demonstrations, exhibitions and events if needed
  • Use CRM to maintain database on regional activity
  • On-going review and analysis of database, leads, quotes and orders for improvement of close ratio and identifying areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Graduate/post graduate degree
  • 3+ years experience as Sales Representative of a leading premium brand in a B2B environment / industry
  • Good understanding of the Professional appliances industry
  • Successful track record in B2B Sales
  • Agility and decisiveness, Result orientation
  • Customer centric mindset – service first
  • Premium representation skills, inspiring people with positive energy
  • Strong but smart leadership qualities, fostering strong teams and attracting talents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Must be willing to travel > 40% of the time
