Vice President of Sales
Contract – Please note this role is not for everyone as the initial compensation is 100% commission-based ($10,000 per client close).
We want to transition our next hire to full time after they?ve demonstrated the results we need. In fact, our CGO and VP of Sales followed this structure?we hired them full-time after a few months of proven results. Other members have maintained their original comp structure and work for us as needed.

Role Overview
Empire is looking for experienced professionals with successful leadership credentials. We want someone that can handle a crucial role and help take our San Diego office to the next level. As a sales representative, you will have tremendous impact in driving Empire?s future growth.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual with a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers. We?ve seen many customers go on to become our biggest advocates?so relationships are key.
Areas You’ll Own:
- Responsible for new client acquisition and developing short, medium- and long-term strategy for team to follow.
- Full cycle sales acumen from prospecting, cold contacting, presentations, deal closure, and farming.
- Perform on-site and web-based product demonstrations.
- Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet them.
- Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends global reach!
- Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs.
- Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends.
- Build and expand relationships with customer business stakeholders to uncover opportunities for revenue generation and account growth and establish the role as a thought leader.
- Exceptional presentation and communications skills with an ability to work directly with customer executives to increase footprint and level of engagement.
- Create transparency within the sales process building out a communication cadence for reporting on progress, wins and challenges!
- Deeply understand our technology and work with our internal teams to ensure that sales materials and demos are strong, consistent, and reusable.
- Develop strategy for qualifying leads and creating a strategy for pipelining potential future clients.
- Own your own sales targets quickly and successfully managing all sales activities from initial contact until sale closure.
- Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings!
- Cultivate relationships with key prospects and decision-makers.
Who you are:
- Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business administration or related field
- 3-5 years of sales experience in B2B/B2C sales or sales management experience.
- Sales leadership experience with the ability to pursue and develop opportunities into real client-based sales propositions.
- Able to anticipate technology and market trends and provides guidance and feedback to the business.
- A proven track record in building long-term client relationships through the creation of value and developing a strong reference base.
- Able to deliver high levels of client satisfaction and client engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic in presenting ideas to external clients.
- Proven ability to build follow-up strategies to close sales – a strong track record of managing entire sales cycle from lead generation to close, with the ability to articulate process in a concise manner.
- New business development experience to develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets is highly desired.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail while managing multiple business relationships at once.
- Highly skilled at written and verbal communication. You have an excellent ability to manage and organize multiple stakeholders in a sales process at once.
- Experience with the Salesforce.com or Monday.com platform, DocuSign, Microsoft Office and related cloud or web based technologies.
- Positive can-do attitude a must!
- Must be a personable people person and be able to communicate with anyone and everyone.
- Team player who will embrace the Empire core values on a daily basis.

- We?re entirely commission based at the beginning, though ideally we?d like to switch proven team members to a salary/commission comp structure.
Compensation
This role is that of a contractor with a commission structure paid on personal revenue.
- We believe you should have no problem closing 30 clients within your first 6 months and then 10 clients per month after that. Our efforts, consisting of only leveraging our personal networks, have produced up to 50 clients closed per month.
- Our commission structure is as follows – we pay out $10,000 per client that successfully purchases our service.
Location
Our team works in beautiful and sunny San Diego and are currently looking for a remote-based individuals to represent us in various metropolitan markets.
