Were now on the hunt for a talented, enthusiastic Vice President, Logistics Operations to join us and lead our operations of fulfillment centers, third party carriers and Article delivery teams; based in the USA near one of our major Distribution Centers (Jersey City, Houston, Jacksonville, Chicago and Los Angeles).
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- 7 major fulfillment centers comprising 2+ million square feet and 300+ Particles. (people of Article)
- A network of 15 cross-dock locations and growing.
- A combined 400 delivery professionals spread across our locations and growing
- 150 and growing fleet assets operated by Particles
What youll do:
- Develop and define long term strategies, goals and objectives for logistics operations
- Execute and continuously enhance the Warehouse and Logistics strategy in alignment with Articles strategy
- Deliver a scalable operating model across multiple locations with different volume and complexities
- Drive performance through clearly defined organizational structure, proactive resource management, and clearly defined deliverables. In addition, determines a path towards for future milestones and goals
- Proactively analyze customer and financial data points in service of ensuring continuous improvement and appropriate actions are being taken
- Be a role model in The Article Way; personifying a fully engaged and passionate team for the customer. Leading the way representing and driving our Humanity principles values and Health, Safety and Environmental policies
- Full accountability for internal and external customer service levels and deliverables
- Report, interpret, and summarize business and financial information to the executive team
- Confer with SVP, Supply Chain, and management team to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from the current status
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 10+ years experience managing overall logistics in a warehouse and distribution environment, including over the road drivers
- Experience leading a large number of employees across many different locations in US and Canada (1,000+ preferred)
- Proven track record in build a scalable operation and at the same time deliver a superior customer experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, growing, and changing environment
- Collaborative leadership style
- A history of successful implementation of behavioral and proactive safety programs
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel from 20-35% of the time (US, Canada, and possible international travel) to be a visible leader to operations across North America Operations
- 5S, Six Sigma Black Belt experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google suite including the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphs
- Online retail distribution experience
- Delivery Driver experience
- MBA
