PRODUCT PRICING MANAGER
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This role is part of the Product Pricing & Insights team responsible for overseeing the Bank’s deposit pricing strategy, supporting pricing policies for consumer and small business lending as well as credit card product, developing business cases for new initiatives, controlling existing portfolio and designing solutions to improve processes and products. The Product Pricing Manager owns deposit pricing, manages promotional campaigns and drives initiatives to launch or enhance products and processes tied to pricing. The role works closely with business partners to define strategies and design analytic needs tied to execution processes. The individual leverages business objectives and system data to support the business and drive change. Applies knowledge of query language (SAS, SQL, etc.), data consolidation/modeling (Excel, Access), and visualization (PowerPoint, Tableau, PowerBI) tools to support product initiatives and execute key processes. Develops and executes significant models and queries, often using new technologies. Works under minimal supervision or as part of team. Responsible for asking questions and developing robust solutions. Ability to automate and productionalize queries preferred. Query experience or equivalent training/education required, banking consumer data background preferred. Strong communication a must to deliver complex concepts in direct and actionable manner to all levels of leadership. Interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams in various business areas.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Rate Management: Oversee deposit standard and exception rates by synthesizing portfolio and competitive trends, identifying opportunities to grow revenue or reduce costs, and building consensus to attain approval for recommendations.
  • Campaign Management: Manage develop of and execute product offer campaigns (rate, cash, etc.) including process design, campaign execution, and results presentations to senior leadership.
  • Solutioning & Design: Analyze qualitive and quantitative information to build enhancements and solutions.
  • Modeling: Build robust models to inform new product and pricing strategies.
  • Portfolio Data: Support product strategies request for data to support builds and enhancements.
  • Project Management: Lead initiatives as related to products and pricing.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business or STEM field required And
  • 5+ years of product, change, project or operations management in areas such as research, strategic planning and design And
  • 3+ years of experience working with data sets including use of querying and visualization tools (Access, SQL, Tableau) 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Preferred 5+ years of financial services experience.
  • Preferred 3+ years of portfolio management experience, preferably with revenue management or forecasting responsibilities
  • Preferred Master Degree in Business Administration or Analytics and can offset certain work experience requirements
  • Experience with Credit Policies or Products is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, analytical, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Project management experience with ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and timeframes is necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary to prepare comprehensive analysis, make presentations and communicate to all levels of bank management including executive leadership.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work and collaborate across teams. Proven experience in demonstrating initiative in creating and maintaining positive business relationships with various unit managers.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access are required.

  • Represents the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
  • Fosters and maintains good relationships with colleagues to ensure that processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels. Acts as business partner by managing expectations and providing guidance and advice regarding assigned product.
