Director Business Development

Description: Join us in this key role as the Director of Business Development on our Target Customer Team.

Through your teamwork, leadership, and strategic planning you will drive overall sales.

You will be accountable to deliver top and bottom-line growth objectives set out in the account’s annual strategic and operating plans.

You will lead creation and optimization as well as strategy and presentation of new growth opportunities.

You will serve as a strategic partner to the account leadership, using and comprehensive analytical solutions across all categories leveraging multiple data sources (e.g.

syndicated data, customer data, loyalty data) to grow the business and enable account leadership to meet annual sales objectives Location and Travel Specifics: Ideally this role will be based in Minneapolis, MN with a flexible home/office-based work schedule.

Job requirements include up to 25% travel to Corporate Headquarters.

HERES A TASTE OF WHAT YOULL BE DOING Insights and Analytics – Bring your talent for digging into the numbers You will be accountable to provide fact-based insights to grow sales across all categories.

You will play an important role to assess, analyze and interpret business indicators including shipments, consumption, shopper trends, inventory, pricing, key performance indicators (KPIs) as they pertain to categories/brands and their impact on the markets You will be accountable to understand key learnings and bring that together in storytelling as you develop presentations to enable account sales team by providing effective recommendations to the buyer.

Business Development – Bring your owners mindset to lead the creation and delivery of an annual business development plan for the account.

You will be accountable to meet new business growth targets to meet overall annual account objectives.

Relationship Management and Collaboration – Bring your focus on relationships to interact and influence customer and stakeholder connections at all levels of leadership in support of the business.

You will play a critical role to assist in developing and strengthening Kelloggs partnership with the Account team through better analysis of market and brand level data.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop relationships and information-sharing partnerships with teams like Sales, Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.

Best Practices – Bring your passion for excellence, as you will build and maintain working expertise of industry “best practices” for use in internal and client presentations.

Project Management – You will be accountable to execute projects and activities in a timely fashion on respective Kellogg categories/ brands and their impact at a market level.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS Required: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred OR significant experience in a combination of account management, sales planning, delivering insights, trade promotion management, category management, customer marketing, and/or sales finance.

Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to influence customers and stakeholders at all levels of leadership.

Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Bonus Points: MBA or Master’s Degree in related field
