Transportation Operations Manager – Food & Beverage

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a market leading Food & Beverage Manufacturer.

The organisation is looking for a Transportation Manager, specialising in Domestic Reefer and Cold Chain Transportation for a role based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Develop operational plans and strategies that help maintain service continuity Dispatch and monitor vehicles and routes to ensure operational performance is maintained Develop and sustain relationships with strategic carriers across North America Mitigate risk potential to the business by ensuring capacity needs are forecasted and planned Design and oversee routes to ensure cost and service efficiencies Work alongside commercial teams, ensuring all consumer needs are met Promote team growth, taking active part in the hiring process Work with leaders in the organization across multiple offices to organize and implement new processes as needed

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

Candidate must have some form of Food & Beverage and/or Logistics & Supply Chain experience Experience with Reefer/Cold Chain transportation is essential Must be based in Vernon, LA, California  3+ years previous employment within industry Bachelor’s degree is essential Ability to effectively negotiate with carriers regarding market rates Must be fluent in English both orally and written, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus Proven track record of leading teams, achieving objectives and personnel development

The expected salary for this role is between USD$75K
– $95K with a performance bonus in place.
