Transportation Business Development Manager

The Lineage Transportation (LTRANS) Business Development Manager is directly responsible for the growth and development of the companys full suite of transportation services within their respective region for the Lineage Small & Medium (SME) customer base. This position will work in conjunction with the warehouse Regional VP of Sales and the warehouse Sales Managers to identify and implement full-service solutions for our customers. This includes both a phase one transportation sales approach as well as identifying new business opportunities within the existing Lineage warehouse and transportation customer base. This position is directly responsible for the local commercial relationships with the existing SME LTRANS book of business as well as meeting and exceeding growth targets for both revenue and EBITDA. The Business Development Manager will be expected to have a functional understanding of their P&L and work with their operational counterparts to ensure its success.The Business Development Manager reports directly to the Director, Business Development. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage annual sales goals, performance standards, and reporting functions for all customersMonitor facility level EBITDA for assigned locations to ensure maximized capacity and performanceEstablish and maintain effective business relationships with customers, prospects, and industry leadersUnderstand local competitive landscape and provide innovative solutions for customersSupport and review initiatives to ensure alignment with short-term and long-term sales business plans and objectivesCommunicate with customers and other appropriate parties to ensure high customer satisfactionProvide data for pricing proposals and competitive insightsIdentify and communicate continuous improvement and network optimization opportunities to customers and other appropriate partiesSupport Business Development leadership with sales initiativesADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent training in Business or Sales Management2 years of progressive experience in a warehouse and sales management environmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguityProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationDemonstrated proficiency in development and implementation of strategy / annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs,?workshops, etc.) Knowledge of temperature-controlled warehouse and logistics industryAbility to travel up to 50%#LLPR Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
