Health Advocates is seeking an experienced Third Party Liability Manager for our main office in Chatsworth, CA.

Job Summary

Dynamic and challenging leadership position with direct oversight and responsibility of the Third Party Liability unit supporting our hospital clients throughout California. Engage with our legal and medical units to resolve and settle; Third Party Liability, and Workers Compensation claims. Responsible for staffing, ensuring budget effectiveness, operations, manages the day-to-day functions within the unit, monitor and assist in troubleshooting accounts, review compromise offers to ensure maximum recovery, negotiate settlements with insurance companies and attorneys, coordinate training and onboarding support with clients, oversee the preparation of staff reviews and address performance and/or other issues related to the day-today function of the unit, and perform miscellaneous related duties, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or any combination of education, training, or experience to perform the essential duties of the position
  • 3+ years experience in Third Party Liability and Workers Compensation collections at a supervisory or senior level position
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing a team of employees
  • Demonstrated success with building and guiding a team to develop and monitor collections
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and abilities
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Must be able to type 35 wpm

Pay Rate: Depends on Experience
Position Type: Full-time; Exempt
Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule: Mon-Thur 7:30 am – 5:00 pm and Fri 7:30 am -12:30 pm
Testing: We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
