Assistant Director for Operations and Programming

The Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Director for Operations and Programming. This position serves the essential function of program planning and implementation to ensure the Centers smooth operations and to meet its evolving needs. The primary responsibilities for the position include: administering and managing the Centers operations and processes; providing leadership and guidance to staff and non-staff workers; serving as the key resource and point of contact for internal and external partners and organizations; and developing and administering program budgets.

The Assistant Director will provide direct support to the Centers director on strategy and operation, and will work closely with other functions at CPD to build relationships with leaders and organizations in the public diplomacy community.

Position Qualifications:

The minimum education is a Bachelors degree with five to seven years of experience in project and programming management, preferably in an academic or nonprofit environment. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and prior experience with managing multiple projects are critical requirements for this position. Candidate must have a strategic mindset and be highly organized, entrepreneurial, and adaptable.
