Job Description
Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a leading trust company in Los Angeles looking to add a Tax Manager with a focus on HNW Trusts to their business.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual to take ownership of some very prestigious relationships, work with some of the best professionals in the industry and have a clear path to promotion.
As a grow hire, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who has the potential be promoted and eventually manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Strong experience in public accounting focusing on trust tax.
- Tax knowledge focused on 1041s Federal returns, 541s, and overall trust tax experience.
- Ensure the Trust Professionals assigned to the various trusts distribute the tax preparation materials in a timely manner.
- Interface with third party CPAs to ensure they have a proper understanding of the particular trust(s) that they are working on.
- Evaluate third party CPAs to ensure they are the appropriate tax professional for the trust.
- Evaluate CPA fees to ensure proper value is obtained for our clients.
- Experience working with Senior Partners, clients, board of directors, etc.
- Develop a working understanding of each trust sufficient to enable the Tax Manager to determine if the return was prepared correctly.
- Ensure the timely filing of all fiduciary, estate returns, and that both required and estimated tax payments are made in a timely manner.
- Ensure the timely distribution of all Beneficiary K-1s.
Requirements:
- CPA is required
- Master’ s in Taxation preferred
- 3-5 years of fiduciary tax experience with a focus on exemplary customer service for high net-worth clients ($1MM+ level clientele).
- Experience with ultra-high net worth multi-generational $50MM+ families with complicated assets and sophisticated trust structures strongly preferred.
- Big 4 experience preferred
- Strong preference for previous experience with OneSource.
Compensation up to $140k base + bonus + 401k match + much more
