– salary and paid time off for 10 or 11 month positions will be adjusted accordingly.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Inspects swimming pools, assists in the design of new installations, and provides functional supervision to Pool Custodians and other Maintenance and Operations personnel engaged in the maintenance and operations of swimming pools.

Some of the cure duties will require that a job incumbent: * Provides technical advice to designers, Maintenance and Operations personnel, architects, and engineers regarding installation and maintenance of District pool systems.

* Inspects filtering and plumbing systems in pools and adjacent areas and requests structural or equipment repairs or replacement.

* Trains and provides functional supervision to Pool Custodians and other Maintenance and Operations personnel engaged in swimming pool servicing duties, such as testing and maintaining proper chemical balance of pool water; removing leaves and vacuuming pools; cleaning lint baskets, pool tile, and adjacent areas; adjusting and lubricating equipment; and back-washing pool filtering systems.

* Establishes, coordinates, and participates in the development and maintenance of standards for chemicals, materials, tools, and equipment used in pool installation and maintenance.

* Establishes methods and procedures for operating, maintaining, and cleaning pools to ensure compliance with health codes and standards.

* May maintain and operate swimming pools in the absence of pool custodial personnel.

* Performs related duties as assigned.

Experience: Three years of experience inspecting the maintenance work of pool custodial and maintenance staff in multiple pool facilities and inspecting swimming pool electrical systems and facilities.

Special: A valid California Driver License.

Use of an automobile.
