Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Manager, Supply Chain Planning position is part of the Supply Chain Team by supporting activities associated with the effective management of supply chain activities, including Distribution, Logistics & a data managed demand planning process.

Engage with cross functional team to bring new products to market and manage the program forecast.

Monitor new concept and virtual restaurant activities and inventory positions and provide demand planning forecasts to Distributor and Purchasing Managers.

Monitor promotions, tests and virtual restaurant programs to evaluate ongoing demand planning, inventory needs & shelf life at Distributor to provide forecast direction to Distributor and Procurement Partners for quantities, timing and location.

Follow up and obtain resolution on Distributor service levels with stores.

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities) Lead supply chain planning and execution for the brand’s rollouts, tests and virtual restaurant initiatives to support forecasting of product needs, distributor quantities, and vendor requirements to support these initiatives.

Collaborate with vendors to create efficient supply plans for product launches for tests and virtual programs.

Accountable to communicate and provide ongoing updates to internal customers, procurement partners, brand partners and leadership in a timely fashion.

Understand the shelf life and quantity/delivery requirements for products.

Evaluate, monitor and provide distributors direction to support tests and programs.

Analyze program performance (actual vs forecasted sales) to mitigate supply risks or potential liability risks by proactively manage inventory flow.

Manage down distributor inventory levels for products being phased out or discontinued to minimize inventory liability/exposure.

Oversee inbound product flow, redistribution and inter branch moves to all distribution centers for product categories as required.

Provides support for virtual restaurant project management including communication of forecast information, inventory management, and production planning to support initiative.

Data Management: Retrieve detail data from distributor and internal sources for detailed analysis, includes forecast, actual sales, store waste and inventory positions throughout the supply chain.

Effectively communicate Supply Chain information to cross functional audiences on a regular basis.

Communicate operator needs to supply partners and distributors, trouble shoot and resolve conflicts.

Formulates recommendations and communicates regularly with Senior Management, Franchise and Company Operations to ensure continued supplies of products.

Follow up with distributor on all service level issues, resolve disputes and communicate to stores and field leaders as required.

Performs other tasks and duties as assigned, with or without accommodation.

Education and Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years business experience in Supply Chain and/or Financial Planning.?

Inventory management experience a plus.

Knowledge of customer service Must have demonstrated the ability to evaluate complex situations and make a sound judgment for problem resolution.

Required Knowledge and Skills Ability to analyze forecast data received from financial planning/product development and make decisions related to demand forecasting needed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to support multiple customers.

Proven, demonstrated sound decision-making ability.

Strong analytical ability Strong computer proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Denny’s, Inc.
