The Supervisor, Paid Search (SEM) is a management position with direct reports, and is responsible for Paid Search strategy and execution.

The Supervisor is dedicated to one client (typically) and reports to the Associate Director of the account.

He/she is the most senior SEM person on the team and manages the junior team to flawlessly execute Search tactics, optimize campaigns, manage budgets, analyze data and extrapolate insights.

The Supervisor works closely with the Associate Director and the agency-wide SEM Lead to develop strategic recommendations that deliver on the client’s business objectives.

The Supervisor is also responsible for mentoring direct reports and onboarding and training new team members.

Frequent interaction and collaboration with Search partners (Google, Microsoft, Verizon, YouTube, Amazon) and clients is an important part of this role.

You will also work cross-teams and collaborate with Paid Social, Programmatic, OTT, TV and other media channels when developing media strategy and evaluating performance.

Responsibilities
Develop/Evolve/Manage/Enforce processes to ensure standardized, flawless execution across Paid Search
Oversee day-to-day campaign performance and analysis working with junior-level Analysts and channel-specific Specialists
Work with Search Engine and tech partners to stay ahead of the industry, and the client’s competitors
Represent the team in client meetings and work sessions with the larger agency team and various stakeholders
Monitor campaigns to ensure proper pacing, avoid under
– or over-spend, traffic abnormalities, and additional opportunities
Provide optimization oversight and direction
Ensure team fully understand all client briefs and develop strategic plans against them
Develop presentations to illustrate recommendations and performance trends
Work with Analytics to understand and optimize measurement framework, KPIs and performance

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of experience working in Paid Search / SEM
Proven ability to drive projects from start to finish
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to follow through
Extremely detail-oriented
Possess a strong and proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibility and communicate priorities to Supervisor
High level proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as planning tools
