Ensuring appropriate staffing levels, anticipating changes in staffing needs and coordinate staff when shortage exists.< /li><Li> Assign workloads, develop priorities, and establish policies necessary to ensure timely and accurate completion of department goals.< /li><Li> Document disciplinary actions and/or counseling sessions in consultation with Human Resources when necessary.< /li><Li> Create and maintain effective interpersonal relationships, keep staff informed of changes, conduct regular 1:1 meetings with staff at least once per month.< /li><Li> Oversee and maintain department workflows, protocols, and department manuals, ensure all staff are adequately trained on changes.< /li><Li> Maintain strong working knowledge, on the availability and eligibility requirements of various health programs (e.G., Healthy Families, Medi-Cal and others).< /li><Li> Ensure staff is trained and knowledgeable in patient and family applications for all possible programs for which they qualify, reviews documentation and following up to ensure patients apply, informing patients and other visitors about their financial obligations for medical services; obtaining proof of income and collects co-payments and other monies due, Monitoring patients and families coverage in various programs; following up to resolvecoverage problems and ensure continued coverage when needed.

Assist and fill in when necessary.< /li><Li> Assist Manager with reports and documentation on Patient Eligibility activities.< /li><Li> Ensure smooth running ofEnrollment Center in the absence of Manager.< /li></ul> <P><B> Position Requirements:< /b></p> <Ul><Li> Three (3) years’ experience in financial screening and enrollment in all Medi-Cal and Managed Care programs highly preferred< /li><Li> Demonstrated ability to exercise leadership.< /li><Li> Strong knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred.< /li><Li> Fluency in written and spoken English required; fluency in written and spoken Spanish highly preferred.< /li><Li> Demonstrated excellent customer relations and communication skills.< /li><Li> Ability to calculate accurately and efficiently.< /li><Li> Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.< /li><Li> Current California drivers’ license and state required insurance when using personal vehicle on clinic business and a driving record acceptable to the Clinic’s insurance carrier.< /li><Li> Typically, these requirements may be met by completion of two (2) + years experience in similar positions.< /li><Li> Covid-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment as required by State law.
