The scope of this position is to manage the strategy development, planning, and day-to-day details of a client account, ensure that the client’s account is operating smoothly, and to help nurture and grow the client’s business. The Supervisor of Client Strategy & Success is the primary service provider for clients. The Supervisor, Client Strategy & Success builds strong client relationships, defines key business tasks/projects, communicates agency team assignments in a way that engenders commitment and follow-through, and manages the delivery of the work/project on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
* Act as primary day-to-day client contact on projects, managing the strategy, planning and ongoing details; keep team informed of all updates and progress, as well as identify emerging threats / risks.
* Collaborate with clients to develop, write and implement seasonal and annual plans to grow revenue and market share
* Proactively identify opportunities for client and agency growth via expanding into new audiences, new services, new marketing channels, etc.
* Interpret marketing data, analyze campaign results and their strategic implications, develop business initiatives and recommend new services to clients to ensure net revenue growth
* Participate in the development and delivery of new business and organic growth pitches
* Ensure account results by gathering information from clients, writing contact reports, overseeing the creative production process, coordinating the work of team members, and providing quality control for all account output
* Manage the delivery of the work/project on time and on budget
* Manage account budget and profitability
* Demonstrate an expertise in Direct Response Marketing as well as an intimate knowledge of the client accounts.
* In partnership with Account Director, assesses current Account Executive talent, designs knowledge sharing and training/development opportunities to facilitate growth of assigned staff
* Understands/identifies strengths/opportunities of junior staff and partners with Account Director to provide coaching, training and guidance to facilitate growth
* Partners with Account Director to assist in the enhancement of the reputation of the agency through the development of thought leadership (i.e., writing and/or presenting case studies, agency POV documents, industry articles and conference presentations)
* Instilling diversity, equity and belonging principals to ensure a respectful, accepted and valued treatment of all
Reports to Account Director
Qualifications
* 7 + years account services experience with at least one Fortune 500 or comparable client.
* 3 + years of experience in CRM, digital, integrated direct response marketing preferred
* 3 + years advertising agency experience, required
* Direct Mail Acquisition
* Experience managing a team of people
* BA degree required
* Superior oral, written, interpersonal & presentation skills
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
* Experience developing and leading marketing strategy
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint, Advanced Excel skills
* Willing to travel 20% of the time
