Stage 1 Program Funding Contracts and Compliance Manager
(CSI Title: Stage 1 Program Coordinator)
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic leader who is well-versed in government contract compliance and program management.
The success of the selected candidate will be their ability to review and interpret the terms and conditions of all funding contract and operationalizing the requirements.
This role requires a strong background in leadership, collaboration with both internal and external customers, and the ability to develop key monitoring practices to ensure compliance of regulatory and auditing requirements.
Reporting to the Family Services Manager, the Program Coordinator will serve as the leading expert in the development of processes based on the funding terms and conditions of contract, the department visionary to ensure staff growth and development and be an innovator to keep the agency ahead of the curve.
The ideal candidate will be tasked with the following accountabilities:
Provide program oversight including review of all proposed contract changes, provide input to funders regarding the impact of proposed changes on customer service and workload; ensure contract is implemented as required by the LA County DPSS.
Work with department supervisors to achieve higher compliance ratings on internal and external audits, develop process improvement and/or training plans to increase/improve contract compliance.
Work as a liaison with other departments, facilitate inter-departmental communication regarding general work with other departments.
Ensure that performance goals are set and met using performance expectations and standards that have been clearly communicated to staff.
Supervise, mentor and guide department supervisors, identify staff development and training needs.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
Bachelor of Science/Arts degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Social Services or related field; relevant work experience in human services/health education/child development may be substituted for college level education.
Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience managing a staff of at least 4 8 people required.
1-2 years demonstrated experience increasing workflow processes, work effectiveness and compliance within a department.
Knowledge of the child care subsidy contracts which are funded by the California Department of Education and the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services Must have excellent leadership, communication and customer relations skills.
Must be flexible and able to multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude.
Must have excellent presentation/public speaking and organizational skills.
Requires proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheet programs, including MS Office.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
