With no plans on slowing down, Fashion Nova is set to provide everyone equal accessibility to fashion.About the RoleThe Senior Product Development Manager Denim is responsible for leading the research and development of the category. They research, counter, and develop customer appropriate styles make sure that product conforms to the standards of the company, target pricing, lead-time, quality, preform extensive research in advertising the product, research competition, check opportunities in their product categories, and apply the necessary improvements to make their products better than the competitor’s product. Manage innovation from the current vendor based while adding new vendors to increase vendor capabilities and pricing structures. Support the company’s growth initiative in direct production.Essential Functions* Manage all new development and counter development of styles in their category.* Manage and monitor the execution of the business strategy and plans for the Apparel business ensuring quality products are consistently developed and delivered.* Build, manage, and maintain Development Time and Action Calendars for all developed apparel products across each factory and country.* Analyze all price quotes and work with production team to ensure target costs are achieved and understand fabric, trim and yarn costs and how they impact final garment costs.* Monitor daily status of developed products including fabrics, lab dips, samples, trim, wash, and technical design. Must fully understand garment-manufacturing process to ensure compliance to all lead times.* Approve all fabrics & yarns for appearance, quality, weight and hand-feel, using standard guidelines and technical knowledge.* Develop denim washes and understand wash band ranges.* Approve proto samples for style details, trim, wash, artwork and construction.* Manage workflow from counter samples/initial sketch through final placement of styles.* Manage pre-production approval process of all fits, strikes offs, patterns trims, and technically correct lab dips.* Establish and manage tracking tools for all products in development through final production.* Keep up on daily communication with overseas offices and factories.* Build, train and manage product development team based on business growth by department.* Collaborate with cross-functional partners in buying and marketing to communicate and educate product knowledge, ensure successful line launches and receive feedback for continued improvements.* Travel to factories, comp shopping, trade shows as necessary to execute and follow through on brand strategies.* Analyze business results and competitor trends and adjust future product assortments as necessary to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory turns; while maintaining brand integrity standards.* Develop and manage the product calendar for seasonal deliveries and special events.* Organize and prioritize weekly workload for self and team.* Sense of urgency, while maintain quality performance under pressure.* Any other projects assigned by management.Benefits* Employee Discount* Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage* 401k Match* Kitchen stocked with snacks and drinks* Weekly catered food, fun events, raffles and free FN swag* Summer Fridays at HQ* Company Sponsored Parties* Team bonding events and programs to strengthen relationships with co-workersFashion Nova, LLC, and subsidiaries thereof, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
