They research, counter, and develop customer appropriate styles make sure that product conforms to the standards of the company, target pricing, lead-time, quality, preform extensive research in advertising the product, research competition, check opportunities in their product categories, and apply the necessary improvements to make their products better than the competitor’s product. Manage innovation from the current vendor based while adding new vendors to increase vendor capabilities and pricing structures. Support the company’s growth initiative in direct production.Essential Functions* Manage all new development and counter development of styles in their category.* Manage and monitor the execution of the business strategy and plans for the Apparel business ensuring quality products are consistently developed and delivered.* Build, manage, and maintain Development Time and Action Calendars for all developed apparel products across each factory and country.* Analyze all price quotes and work with production team to ensure target costs are achieved and understand fabric, trim and yarn costs and how they impact final garment costs.* Monitor daily status of developed products including fabrics, lab dips, samples, trim, wash, and technical design.
