At The Matian Firm, our expert legal team is a driving force behind our continued success. We’re in search of a highly experienced, Senior Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Case Manager to join this team and help maintain the standard of excellence for which we’re known. The Senior Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Case Manager will report directly to the Department’s Supervising Attorney. This individual will participate in all aspects of our personal injury practice, including opening claims, obtaining evidence, obtaining medical records and bills, assisting clients with treatment, assisting clients with their property damage claims and corresponding with insurance companies on a daily basis. The ideal candidate should be well versed in personal injury at the pre-litigation stage and should feel comfortable handling high value and big injury cases.
Responsibilities
Handling a portfolio of high value and big injury personal injury cases from A to Z, including traumatic brain injury cases, surgical cases, and cases where clients suffer serious injuries such as fractures, dislocations, etc.
Opening claims and making the initial client contact and continue contact with clients on a regular basis.
Maintain communication with clients and provide case updates promptly.
Monitor and maintain client treatment portfolio, including the ability to read and understand MRIs and other medical records.
Proficiency in Traumatic Brain Injury cases and an understanding of how to best assist clients with TBI related treatment.
Obtaining evidence, documents, medical records and medical bills related to our clients’ case.
Assisting clients with their property damage claims.
Organize and maintain electronic case files within the company software/case management system.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of Personal Injury experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Experience with Case Management Software
Associates, Bachelors, or Paralegal Certificate is highly preferred
Ability to manage a large volume of cases at a time
Prior experience as a case manager preferred
Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
