Position Summary: The Senior Brand Innovation Manager will lead the product lifecycle management for assigned brands/segments/need-states. You will collaborate cross functionally to effectively manage a range of responsibilities including product positioning, innovation pipeline, and assortment choice to optimize revenue, margin and working capital deployment. You will have a critical role in helping to develop and execute a multi-year innovation strategy and product innovation pipeline that aligns to the brand strategy and company goals. Your primary activities will include but are not limited to: Develop and execute multi-year innovation strategy and product pipeline that aligns to the brand strategies and company goals. Navigate product and packaging innovations through entire Gate process from ideation to launch, including opportunity identification, concept development, product and packaging creation, feasibility validation, financial viability, commercial validation and launch planning. Be the expert on assigned brand/need states/categories, their performance, the competition, and the trends impacting them. Provide Marketing and Sales with insights on product key differentiators and messages to maximize distribution and sales. Build strong, collaborative partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, R&D and Operations for seamless connection from ideation to launch. Monitor product performance including sales data, consumer and customer feedback, COGS, margin, and sales, and recommends plans to optimize. Identify gaps in the portfolio and recommend plans to fill these gaps. Identify opportunities to improve performance of focus SKU’s (e.g. improved claims, better packaging, etc.). Develop a deep understanding of the innovation gate process and product development processes, and optimizing were there’s opportunity. Analyze and interpret data & research results to communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional team members and executive leadership. Develop compelling analyses, reports, and presentations. You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications): Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in CPG brand management, product management, or innovation roles Strong analytical and project management skills, data-driven decision making. Strong cross-functional leadership skills. Demonstrated consumer-first mindset, while also being able to understand other stakeholders’ perspectives. Ability to define key project milestones, where initial pathways can be unclear or undefined, and identify potential issues early. Agile and an ability to, both, think and execute at a high level. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Nielsen/IRI a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
