About You:
You are data-driven, highly analytical, and a good storyteller, with a relentless focus on customer acquisition, retention, expansion, and referrals. You are a marketing expert with extensive experience in planning and executing full-funnel multichannel campaigns and tactics. You have a passion for the customer experience, conversion optimization, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
You’re excited by the challenge of rolling up your sleeves and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for scaling a team of talented growth marketers across Acquisition, Customer Marketing, Partnerships Marketing, Content Marketing, and B2B Product marketing.
Reports to the SVP of Growth; Initially 5 direct reports across content, conversion, and campaign planning roles but with an expectation of building out a world class team in alignment with the growth of Company.
Specifically you’ll:
- Create marketing programs to generate the pipeline needed to achieve the company’s annual revenue target, ensuring that marketing coverage is on target and high quality
- Completely own our acquisition goals and the path to get there within CAC targets
- Build out a high-performance team of direct reports and agencies
- Optimize our existing acquisition channels and build out new ones, including paid, organic, SEO, SEM, partners, referrals, social, digital, direct mail, and more
- Optimize conversion and the customer lifecycle, driving the right leads to sales and nurturing customers through their journey
- Manage our paid and organic marketing budgets
- Understand how all marketing functions connect strategically, which enables you to determine where customers are in the buyer’s journey, and the right marketing touches to advance them.
- Partner closely with product teams, sales, customer success, finance, and other marketing functions to define and lead growth initiatives that drive acquisition, expansion, retention, and referrals, and product adoption.
- Understand our target audience and personas, design experiments, and drive activation of campaigns.
- Partner closely with website, product, and support teams to continuously test, optimize and improve customer experience, engagement and conversion metrics.
- Understand our top performing assets and offers across every channel and provide feedback to the campaigns, content marketing, product marketing and brand teams on which message is resonating in-market.
- Work with Marketing Operations to analyze all aspects of Company’s conversion funnel, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Ensure that we have the right activity mix to drive growth, including awareness, contact acquisition, and demand generation.
- Conduct ongoing competitive research to help inform strategies. Keep current with latest trends and best practices.
Within 30 Days You’ll:
- Progress through our Ramp Camp (Company’s New Hire Onboarding Experience).
- Meet with Executive and senior leadership from Product, Design, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, Partnerships, and Data and Analytics departments, understanding their business goals.
- Observe a Company product demonstration.
- Finalize an organizational structure and hiring roadmap.
- Assess the marketing team’s campaign process and audit existing projects and workflows.
Within 60 Days, You’ll:
- Build out the Growth Marketing function roles and align with Sales, Operations, Partnerships and Product Teams.
- Create and own pipeline dashboards for marketing sourced impact on revenue and acquisition goals.
- Create and communicate Growth Marketing strategy and associated OKRs in alignment with company strategic goals.
Within 6 months, You’ll:
- Drive a focused, nimble and high performance Growth Marketing function with demonstrated impact on acquisition, customer, partnership and affiliate growth in accordance with overall company strategy.
You Should Apply If:
- You have 5+ years experience in growth marketing leadership or related roles
- You have 10+ years experience in marketing
- You have a desire to be hands on, get in the weeds, do the work when needed
- You have experience managing a high-performance team and agency resources
- You have a proven ability to set goals and strategy and coach a team to achieve them
- You have familiarity with both paid and organic channels and a variety of growth tactics
- You have experience driving growth across the customer lifecycle
- You have experience at a hyper growth company, in either SMB or consumer space
- You have an understanding of best practices in design, copy, and creative for effective campaigns
- You’re comfortable with A/B testing and experiment design
- You have an ability to juggle multiple projects at once and not lose track of the details
- You have experience managing a breadth of demand tactics (digital to physical)
- You have have strong leadership experience (managed large teams, including close alignment with SDR teams)
- You have experience scaling partner marketing programs
- You are experienced with Salesforce, Marketo, A/B testing tools
- You have experience in multiple market segments and go to market motions (product led, SMB, Mid Market, Enterprise), with a solid understanding of how each works
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to roll up your sleeves and get answers and results
- You have excellent writing skills with high editorial standards.
