We are assisting a publicly traded consumer products company in Los Angeles with their search for a Sr.
Manager Internal Audit.
This role will perform financial and operational audits to ensure accuracy as well as compliance with policies, procedures, US GAAP, good business practices, government guidelines and laws/regulations.
The Senior Manager will also support the execution of the Global SOX testing performed by Internal Audit.
Travel may be required up to 25% of the time, including infrequent international travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage, review, and perform the testing and documentation of audit work related to both internal audits and SOX testing.
* Plan, perform risk assessment, implement, and complete audits within a reasonable amount of time.* Develop audit budgets and monitor progress against the budget.* Cooperate with management on implementation of remediation related to observations identified.* Audit financial controls and SOX compliance.* Report on internal control weaknesses and recommend efficient means for improvement.* Actively Involved in the hiring, training, development, supervision, and evaluation of staff in the Internal Audit Team.* Work with members of the audit team to provide feedback and coaching.* Provide training to management and staff on risk management principles.QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance of similar* CPA/CIA strongly preferred* Public Accounting Experience required * 8+ years of full-time combined experience in internal and/or external auditing, * Detailed knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, IIA, COSO, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and progressive internal auditing techniques.* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels in the company.
