As a Social Media Manager, you will obsess over building communities for our partners and stable of shows. You have your pulse on the latest social media trends and tactics that will help Sony Music Podcasts drive tune in and engage deeply with listeners. This position is part of Sony Music’s podcast team in New York City and reports to the VP of Marketing for Podcasting.
What you’ll do:
- Find and create communities for our podcasts
- Drive the organic and inform paid social content strategy to cultivate deeper conversation and earned media
- Ideate and innovate within the social space by developing strategic campaigns and creative
- Work with editorial teams to create and maintain strategic social media launch plans for brand and programming initiatives
- Oversee social media daily content calendars across all platforms ensuring brand consistency and accuracy
- Seek out or request relevant production creative, including behind-the-scenes, extras, sneak peeks, etc
- Work with research and insights team to analyze the competitive landscape for social media
Who you are:
- 5+ years marketing experience, with a background in media or entertainment marketing strongly preferred
- Ability to create campaigns with different brand voices
- A proven track record building a social following from the ground up
- Solid understanding of creative positioning, key art/video execution, advertising and entertainment marketing
- Equally creative and & analytical, with exceptional communication skills
- A true love of podcasts
- Undergraduate degree required
