Service Manager

Loreto/Mariscos Za Za Zá in Frogtown neighborhood of Elysian Valley is looking for a Service Manager to join our team!  The Service Manager will focus on ensuring every guest experiences exceptional hospitality from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the highest level of service standards from guest experience to staff workflow
  • Create a warm and hospitable environment for our guests and team
  • Become an expert on our food & beverage menus
  • Support General Manager and Assistant General Manager with training and managing FOH staff
  • Perform personnel actions, such as hiring and terminating staff, providing employee orientation and training, and conducting supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee timesheets
  • Use Toast analytics to analyze sales and menu item trends and employee performance
  • Use Resy analytics to analyze covers and average spending trends
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements
  • Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems
  • Opening and Closing procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of experience as a Manager, AGM, or GM in a fast-paced high volume environment
  • Manager ServSafe certified
  • RBS certified
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Good understanding of P&L structure and financial indicators for a restaurant business or willingness to learn
  • Good understanding of COGS management or willingness to learn
