ABOUT LEGACY YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Legacy Youth Leadership (LYL) works to build a socially conscious and active generation of young people through outreach, mentorship and leadership programs. As an organization committed to building and developing student leaders, LYL connects young people to the causes and issues they care about, while resourcing them with the tools and materials they need to create tangible change in the world today. LYL works with thousands of students globally, and through our programs, students gain a deeper understanding of social issues while being empowered to take action. We at LYL are guided by our Core Values, establishing the standard for who we want to be for our students, schools, supporters, and community. These Core Values are: Humble Hustle, Self-Starter, Passionate, Playful, and Attitude of Gratitude

Thirst Project (TP), our partner, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to end the global water crisis. Students in LYL Programs are developed as leaders in their communities and through mentorship, gain a deeper understanding of the global water crisis. LYL students are then given the tools and resources necessary to support the effort and mission of Thirst Project to implement fresh water projects and WASH programs around the world.

As we grow and develop our mentorship programs, we’re looking for our next superstar to help us create meaningful and magical student program experiences, while assisting the network of Thirst Project Schools with their fundraising efforts. We’re building an all star team of hella smart people ready to roll up their sleeves (or their skinny jeans) and grow with us. We believe in hiring people who are smart, solution-oriented, a little weird, and ambitious. We take the causes and issues we care about seriously, but we never take ourselves too seriously. You’ll get to work alongside every member of our tight-knit puppy-obsessed team while learning how a best-in-class student leadership organization is built from the ground up.
