Senior Vice President

Company is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead day to day operations and grow Company’s strategy. This new leader at Company will oversee various departments and VPs to lead all aspects of brand, growth and strategic partnerships. We are looking for an experienced media executive who will oversee our core business lines and drive the next phase of Company’s growth and expansion into video, creative agency, and experiential. This person may oversee any of the following teams: Content, Publisher Operations, Creative Production, Business Operations or Experiential. 

Our ideal candidate is an executive with extensive experience in digital media, scaling venture backed media brands and creating operational excellence across an organization and who has the passion, energy, intellect and successful track record of growing digital businesses to fuel our next chapter of growth.

This role will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shaping Company Inc.’s strategy for current and new business 
  • Support the C-Suite and other senior leaders in setting business & growth priorities that fulfill Company’s mission and ambitions 
  • Responsible for P&L management and growth across multiple departments and brands
  • Provide leadership across all part of the business and manage the teams responsible for day to day business operations that could include marketing, content, creative, production, publisher operations, business operations or experiential
  • Identify, advocate, and improve brand values & identities, ensuring they are communicated across a variety of media and sales channels in a consistent and appealing manner
  • Identify new and emerging revenue opportunities and business lines
  • Set and manage budget for the entire Company network
  • Represent Company among the company’s senior and executive leadership team
  • Define business & content strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis
  • Establish metrics for each brand to drive decisions and oversee the dashboards and analytics for content and marketing efforts across all platforms and brands in order to  make recommendations based on those results
  • Oversee and expand key external relationships to drive Company’s growth and innovation 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in media business development, brand building, people management and/or revenue growth
  • Deep experience driving and representing a digital first or diversified media company
  • Demonstrated ability to grow revenue while putting audience, story-telling and community first
  • Demonstrated skill in leading complex teams in a fast-paced environment, and in managing senior leaders and executives
  • Excellent communication skills, able to take complex information and succinctly and effectively communicate both in verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrated ability to set, manage, and track against a set of diverse, strategic KPIs
  • Expert in managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong analytical mind with a demonstrated experience tracking core business metrics and driving decisions based on that data
  • A healthy appreciation of GIFS and Black culture
