Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to join our Transportation Team in Sacramento, CA.
This individual will lead and support various transportation planning and engineering projects involving traffic operations, simulation, traffic impact studies, intersection control evaluations (ICE), traffic analysis, signal coordination studies, traffic control plans, signage and striping, and other transportation related duties leading and supporting transportation projects for Caltrans and other local agencies.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in civil and/or Masters in Transportation Engineering Preferred California PE or TE At least 10 years of transportation engineering/planning experience Advanced project experience with Vissim, Synchro, Vistro/TRAFFIX, SketchUp, Sidra and/or GIS Understanding of Highway Capacity Methodologies (HCM) and Highway Capacity Software (HCS) Previous experience in leading and supporting Caltrans and local projects; strong proficiency with Caltrans standards Experience communicating and working with a variety of different stakeholders, clients, and team members Experience with marketing and business development preferred Strong written and oral communication skills Experience and interest mentoring and training staff
