As a Senior Project Manager for our California Buildings District located in Los Angeles, CA, you will contribute to our team by:

  • Providing overall administrative and technical expertise and support to a construction project or series of projects with responsibility for performance on projects’ safety, budget, schedule and profitability. May perform in a lead or support role on a project depending on value and complexity.
  • Overseeing total construction project(s) to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
  • Ensuring all company, client and project policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
  • Interfacing with project team, client representative, consultants and subcontractors
  • Monitoring and reporting on project performance including but not limited to; schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environment, quality control
  • Participating in the creation and maintenance of strong relationships with all stakeholders including clients, consultants and your project team
  • Mentoring, coaching, supervising, delegating and assigning tasks to direct reports and other team members
  • Assisting in negotiation of claims/disputes with the owner and sub trades
  • Ensuring project safety standards and environmental program are adhered to at all times, leading by example
  • Assisting in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and/or participating in proposals and presentations

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience with Commercial Construction, especially in Healthcare (medical office building or OSHPD) and where delivered on a design build basis
  • Ten (10) years of proven experience in project management from project pursuit to project close-out, overseeing commercial construction projects (hard bid and/or negotiated)
  • Completed projects as lead Project Manager
  • Leadership, problem solving, organizational ability, customer service. and communication skills are required
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, and processes/procedures in relation to managing projects and employees
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to create a project schedule
  • Ability to identify and mitigate/manage risk on construction projects
  • Ability to analyze and apply engineering/construction principles to construction challenges/problems/issues
  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, consultants, supervisors, and trades people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ability to learn new software programs
  • A Bachelor ‘ s degree in Construction Management. Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Must possess a valid driver license
