The Project Manager is responsible for new client implementation of the MPS product suite. This position will manage the entire implementation process, including planning, timeline adherence, troubleshooting, issue escalation, project time tracking, status reporting, conflicts resolution and client hand-off. The manager will represent HealthTrio by mPulse in a professional manner and is a major contributor to the tone of the new client relationship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Create, develop, and maintain the project plan(s) in SmartSheet to minimize cost and implementation risks
- Monitor team velocity and project status through tracking system in Smartsheet and Jira
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on SharePoint site
- Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, monitor and report on resource hours and devise contingency plans
- Analyze risks and opportunities and develop mitigations plans
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Act as the scrum master for project tickets, ensuring the team follows the processes and acting as a coach
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants including the creation of a status report at the end of each sprint.
- Provide leadership in responding to problem-solving and dispute resolution of project issues
- Provide internal and external training on new and existing processes
- Participate in and support process improvement activities within the department and company-wide
- Present recommendations, status updates and other project information to senior leadership
- Complete special project or other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid project management foundation and a firm understanding of project management concepts
- Experience serving as scrum master role in development process, coordinating closely with product manager and/or product owner to manage successful delivery of project roadmap
- Experience in creating and managing requirements for development in both waterfall and Agile software development environments
- Knowledge of healthcare domain
- Experience with healthcare enrollment, billing, and commissions a plus
- The ability to analyze technical healthcare requirements a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts and processes in non-technical language
- Ability to make prudent business decisions using fact-based analysis and collaborative decision-making skills
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or other project management software
- PMP or comparable experience a plus
JOB COMPLEXITY: Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work with general instructions on new assignments. Expected to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Does not supervise others.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of related experience in client implementation in the software industry.
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The essential functions of this position are performed remotely, or in a climate-controlled office environment. Some office areas will contain a significant amount of computer and peripheral equipment (e.g., printers) producing the associated electronic equipment noise.
