In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a S enior Product Manager with stron g Platform experience to join our platform product management team and elevate our market leadership position by making the right technology available to our customers. The right candidate will have to balance technical and customer-centric demands to keep our platform ahead of the curve.
Underlying every amazing customer experience is a landscape of technology . Plex customers rely on th e platform to do everything from printing barcode labels to connecting mobile devices to Bluetooth peripherals. Working directly with a team of product manager s, architects and developers who are domain experts on general manufacturing, logistics, and financial processes, infrastructure and APIs, you will plan for the future by bringing new capabilities and technology to our platform in the cloud. You will bring a strong platform development expertise that will complement the strengths of the Plex product management team. You will work with product marketing on compelling product positioning and with sales on global opportunities as required.
This role is 50/50 inbound/outbound and demands equal parts knowledge/experience and passion/evangelism. You will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will have a single-minded focus on customer adoption and satisfaction. You will engender customer confidence via your expertise and execution. You will be agile and “fail fast” and always be data-driven.
This position can be located in either our Troy, MI headquarters, or be remotely based from a home office with some travel as required.
WHAT’S YOUR IMPACT?
- Work closely with Engineering Leadership to effectively prioritize roadmap and customer success product, identify and mitigate risk, and deliver against our commitments
- Take a data-driven approach to prioritization, functioning as the “Product Owner” writing Epics, Stories and clarifying requirements .
- Drive data-driven clarity to how customers and partners use existing API products, and develop defensible positions on modernization and lifecycle mgmt. API products
- Drive GTM approaches and adoption of Plex’s API and integration products
- Build a thriving community of partners and customers to drive product engagement .
IS IT IN YOU?
- A Bachelor ’s de gree is required .
- 7+ years with increasing levels of responsibility in Product Management, Development , Engineering , and/or Technical Services f or SaaS solution s.
- 3+ years hands-on Product Management experience.
- Expected s trengths / t echnical areas of expertise:
- Demonstrated history of data driven decision making and ability to handle large datasets .
- Strong communicator and demonstrated ability to bring clarity to complex areas .
- Understand the process es needed to design proper platform architectures, security models, enterprise integrations, and APIs
- Prior experience with enterprise platforms, and enterprise integration models
- Prior experience building packaging / positioning / pricing strategies (GTM) .
- Nice to have competencies / expertise:
- Prior experience with ERP/MES/PLM software
- Prior experience with Apigee or some other API mgmt. platform (build, manage, and secure APIs), and API lifecycle mgmt.
- Prior experience with building / managing external integrations and use of middleware tools like Dell Boomi .
- Prior experience with partner enablement and product extensibility .
- Prior background in Agile product management and enterprise SaaS .
