Summary:

The Senior Manager, Sales Analytics will predominantly be focused on secondary data analytics to inform business and field optimization strategies to ensure successful commercialization of KARL STORZ’s products in the US. This role will report to Vice President, Revenue Operations and be a member of the Revenue Operations Leadership Team. The individual will partner with local and global business partners to uncover actionable insights that will grow top and bottom line. This role must work effectively with sales teams, executives and key internal stakeholders in finance and pricing to provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive business performance. This individual will be fluent in BI tools such as Tableau and have prior demonstrated success driving broad adoption of business intelligence tools across a commercial organization. The Senior Manager will have a vision for the future of sales analytics and partner with analysts and IT to support a future advanced analytics environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, extremely analytical and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights.
  • Drive and deliver the annual quota for the sales force and track performance to goals
  • Build and manage models to track performance of new product launches, performance by specialty or service line, identify meaningful product correlations that drive sales and inform territory alignment
  • Build, maintain, update and optimize critical dashboards in Tableau for key business stakeholders in marketing and sales
  • Deliver recurring cadence of high impact data-driven insights and metrics reporting to commercial and executive leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 analysts responsible for commercial reporting and analytics support
  • Champion broad organizational adoption of data and business intelligence tools; develop the analytics framework to support a culture of data-driven decision making across the sales organization
  • Ad hoc modeling: Develop various forecasting, trend analysis, and sales projections models for sales and marketing; develop tools that enable sales team self-sufficiency in growing the business with targets and existing customers
  • Deliver enhanced analytics support for defined business areas (OR1 and field service teams)
  • Provide support for sales team delivery of customer-facing business reviews
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects designed to ensure data quality.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
  • Provide analytics thought leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to commercial leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as Reporting, Business Systems, Financial or Data Analyst with proven ability to solve business problems
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations for business growth
  • Significant experience building dashboards using data visualization software (e.g. Business Objects Dashboards, PowerBI, Tableau) and with SAP or equivalent ERP system
  • Solid sales analytics background, with extensive experience providing insights and analysis directly to Sales and Executive Leadership
  • Passionate about data, with player/coach approach to creating dashboards, tools and analysis that enable actionable insight.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Must be able to understand the story behind complex data sets and communicate it effectively to drive impact, including presenting to executive stakeholders
  • Prior experience leading and growing teams, and delivering results through others
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management, including effectively managing multiple projects/priorities and adjusting quickly if/as needs change
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
