 Role Overview

At the heart of Fisker’s visionary product lies a state of the art powertrain and you can play a central role in its delivery.

The Systems Performance team that you will build and lead will be responsible for benchmarking and characterization of competitor vehicles, dynamic modeling of Fisker products, powertrain performance test planning, and execution and ensuring that our product roadmap remains at the leading edge of the industry with respect to powertrain dynamic attributes.

You will be the performance attribute coordinator for Powertrain, and responsible for ensuring that the performance status of the vehicle is fully understood by all parties.

Fisker is a fast-moving technologically focused startup, and in this context you will need considerable flexibility and adaptability to deal with the rapidly-developing requirements at the leading edge of EV powertrain implementation.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience of powertrain dynamic performance evaluation

• Good hands-on capabilities in powertrain system dynamic modeling

• Familiarity with key performance attributes: range metrics, charging metrics, and other key performance and drivability measures – including a detailed understanding of the regulatory definitions relevant to global markets

• Experience in team recruitment and leadership

• Practical experience of powertrain test execution in a test laboratory and test track environment

• Good personal communication skills to ensure that performance dependencies from all teams are properly understood and tracked.

• Creativity and problem-solving excellence, with a passion for delivering successful products

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant professional experience

• BS or MS in electrical, computer engineering or related engineering discipline
