Senior Manager, Payment Operations

About the TeamOn the Merchant Strategy & Ops team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant selection, build cutting edge services for our merchants to grow their business, and help our partners operate efficiently on the platform.About the RoleAs a Senior Manager, Payment Operations, you are a critical piece of DoorDash’s growth and success in every market in which we operate. You will be responsible for formulating our ongoing payment operations strategy and driving excellence across all payment interactions for our merchants. This includes fine-tuning existing payment processes, enabling best-in-class financial reconciliation, innovating new internal tools/processes, leading strategic projects, and working side-by-side with our Product team to build new product features.You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…* Drive payments strategy – Understand the payment needs and wants of our merchants to shape DoorDash’s payment operations strategy, build tools/processes that support operational excellence and inform the payments product roadmap* Implement payment operations – Optimize DoorDash’s existing payment/reconciliation processes and triage data bugs to ensure accuracy and efficiency in meeting all external and internal requirements; Drive step change improvements to the current process; Define KPIs and goals, assess performance against goals; build the analytics infrastructure, tools and reporting to track performance* Work cross functionally to ensure that Merchants have a flawless payments experience – Work cross-functionally within DD (e.g., Finance, Tax, Product, Operations, and Sales teams) and externally with our partners (e.g., Stripe) to make sure merchants have the best possible experience when using DoorDash’s payment services;We’re excited about you because…* You have 5-10 years of experience in payment operations / financial services / banking / analytics / consulting or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plus* Experience working with external vendors such as banks and fintechs is a plus* You have a strong financial background, with an understanding of transaction reconciliation* You have a proven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve goals, and making data-driven decisions that balance between business, system and operational requirements* Experience in a customer-facing or relationship management role is a plus* You have Excel mastery and SQL proficiency* Experience with data visualization tools (ex.
