This position will be based at our El Segundo, CA location. This position will be able to participate in our hybrid work from home policy.
JOB SUMMARY/PROFILE
A highly engaging and growth-oriented opportunity to help define the vision for KARL STORZ Compliance organization in the Americas. The Sr. Manager of Transparency will lead efforts in building and implementing a world-class Transparency program to meet disclosure requirements across KARL STORZ entities in the Americas. The Sr. Manager will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for the Americas and will partner with cross-functional leaders and global stakeholders to drive the adoption and management of the Transparency program. This role will also play an integral part in realizing and unlocking the value of Compliance analytics and metrics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead implementation of a world-class Transparency program for KARL STORZ.
- Drive system integrations to enhance business processes while ensuring that regulatory requirements are being met.
- Develop annual Transparency operations plan and reporting/ analytics cadence under the leadership of the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Maintain ongoing understanding of the applicable laws and seek to identify and implement best-practices and process improvement opportunities for the overall Compliance Program.
- Support Compliance-driven initiatives to raise awareness and increase accountability for ethics and integrity.
- Collaborate with busines partners and leadership across KARL STORZ to champion and foster a proactive culture around Compliance and Transparency.
- Remain current on state and country specific transparency reporting requirements.
- Implement, support and maintain tools and technologies relevant to Transparency reporting.
- Lead and manage a Transparency team.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer relevant supporting the Compliance Program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree required / MBA, MS, or JD preferred
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- 5-10 years of experience in Compliance or Transparency roles
- Advanced understanding of US Federal, State, local transparency reporting requirements
- Knowledge of AdvaMed and/or PhRMA Code compliance standards and requirements
- Experience with managing and executing transformational projects involving systems or technology component(s)
- Ability to execute tasks without direct oversight and supervision
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
- A process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.
- Advanced experience with MS suite of products (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to foster and promote a culture of compliance and integrity
