The opportunity: We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Operations & Net Revenue Systems to join our global Business Operations team in North America. The team’s mission is to empower Flexport to achieve comprehensive business plans. In this role you will lead a small team to tackle challenging business problems with a focus on enhancing Flexports financial systems, building tools, and improving business processes. You will have the opportunity to work cross functionally across many groups including Procurement, Engineering & Product, Finance, Client Solutions, and Operations. You will: Collaborate with global freight procurement teams (across all Flexport services) and finance teams to develop requirements and design solutions to enhance our Marketplace and Financial platform systems Partner with the technology teams on the development of Flexport’s Marketplace strategy and roadmap, testing plans, and rollout. Lead cross-mode system and process design for procurement systems Support the adoption of standards, and implementation of policies for vendor management and cost capture Stand up and run rhythms for vendor management and cost capture Influence the development of the Pricing Platform and the requirements to ensure a robust interface from buy-side to sell-side MarketPlace systems Develop metrics aligned with business objectives, work with the data analytics team to establish measurement plans and create dashboards, and report on performance across all modes Utilize tools and dashboards to analyze data, generate insights, and drive actions to improve performance on KPIs including data quality, coverage, efficiency, and other commercial objectives Install feedback loops to identify opportunities for improvement and lead continuous improvement efforts with business and technology teams Manage a team of business operations associates You should have: 12+ years experience in business operations, analytics, consulting, or operations roles. Innate curiosity and passion to dive deep into ambiguous problems to really understand root causes and key drivers, and design solutions Ability to develop frameworks to structure problems, think in data systems, and simplify the complex. Experienced in Finance and Procurement technology and buy vs build options Experienced in large scale heavy data systems: technology, processes, and quality management program Proficiency in analysis of large datasets to distill, visualize, and communicate insights. SQL fluency preferred Strong project management skills, managing timelines and deliverables effectively, and fostering accountability across teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present quantitative concepts and analyses to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization Experience in leading teams (3+ years of people management experience) Detail oriented with a focus on high quality of work Ability to challenge the status-quo and a passion for continuous improvement Experience in logistics, transportation, retail, or manufacturing industry is preferred
