Director of Diversity & Inclusion to join our rising team.

This position is full time and is only available in New York City, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for spearheading DE&I programming across our recruit, advance, retain & engage pillars within our DE&I roadmap, while also contributing to our external DE&I initiatives through a brand marketing lens.

This role reports directly into our President and works closely with our VP of Human Resources, the HR team, and our Associate Program Manager, DE&I.

This role will be responsible for:

Leading and developing the agency’s roadmap and programming for internal and external DE&I initiatives engaging Day One’s diverse workforce, promoting best in class DE&I practices, and integrating DE&I into all aspects of Day One’s business including how DE&I shows up in our work product.

Educating Day One on current events and all Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, driving awareness and championing inclusion.

Enhancing our Supplier Diversity efforts, including growing, tracking, measuring and reporting on activities.

Growing recruitment strategies for attracting diverse talent, partnering with the Director of Recruiting to build a robust and diverse talent pipeline.

Representing Day One externally with our Day One Community (clients, partners, professional organizations and affiliations).

Identifying and vetting third party vendors for DE&I programming and initiatives (consultants, speakers, organizations, etc.) to coordinate on-site or virtual training sessions, workshops and events

Defining and establishing metrics for measuring the effectiveness and success of various DEI programs.

Partnering with a cross-functional senior leadership team to evaluate initiatives to ensure that DE&I has been considered, including but not limited to internal practices and procedures.

Acting as a resource of our client teams on DE&I related reporting and presentations, and assisting in the preparation of our Diversity Scorecard, RFPs, and other requests as needed.

Supporting the HR team on DE&I related activities including policy development, leading safe space conversations, development of employee surveys, etc.

Connecting with relevant agency stakeholders to ensure DE&I projects are executed, dot connecting with DE&I leadership team, HR, Employee Resource Group, agency internal comms, etc.

Leading, tracking, and monitoring the continuously evolving the agency’s short and long term DE&I business and people strategy and action planning from development through execution.

Requirements

8-10 years of experience leading DE&I people and business strategy

Capacity to think through both tactics and the big picture

Attention to detail, self motivated, organized, and reliable
