IT Project Manager

– NOT REMOTE ROLE: The IT Project Manager Initiates, Plans, Executes, Controls and Closes multiple simultaneous IT Projects.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a history of success leading teams in a matrixed organization structure, and success in leading without direct authority.

Leads cross-functional teams focused on delivery of IT projects.

Coordinates work performed by internal staff and external partners/customers by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.

Develops detailed project plans, schedules and budgets and manages all implementation processes including interdepartmental meetings, technical and functional resource identification and allocation, project timeline and progress tracking, change control process, testing, documentation, training and interdepartmental communications and activity management to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraints.

Selects, develops and evaluates team resources EDUCATION AND YEARS EXPERIENCE BS with 8 years, or MS with 6 years or non degreed with 10 years experience in IT Project managementKEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE STRONG Project Manager skillset (PM Processes/Best Practices), proven experience managing many projects, PMP or PgMP certification.

Agile experience (recent practical experience preferred) and certifications such as CSM/SCM (etc.) receive preference.

Experience implementing large scale and complex IT initiatives required 5 years corporate PM experience in Manufacturing, PLM/Engineering or Finance space completing large scale/complex implementations, proficiency with large/detailed project plans (critical path timelines in MSP) and budgets, skilled problem solver and change champion/leader.

Proficiency developing detailed project schedules and performing critical path analysis using Microsoft Project is required.

Strong working knowledge of project finance is a must Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word are required Experience implementing large scale and complex IT initiatives and their budgets is required.

PMP or PgMP certification PREFERRED.

• Must be comfortable with real-time decision-making in the absence of complete or perfect information.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking in large groups including Executive audiences.
• Expected to identify, evaluate, document and develop mitigation plans for project risks and issues.
• May instruct, coach or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt training and/or certification a plus
