1736 Family Crisis Center: Rcm Residential Care Manager, Bridge Home (Part-Time)

1736 Family Crisis Center offers crisis intervention services, including four 24 hour hotlines, as well as longer-term services in client advocacy and outpatient psychotherapy.

The residential counseling and support services include shelter programs for (1) runaway and homeless adolescents, (2) domestic violence and human trafficking victims and their children (emergency and transitional programs (3) Homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for the general population and Veterans and their families.

Community outreach programs are provided to educate the public and prevent mental-health problems in the general population and in targeted groups to at-risk populations.Bridge Residential Care ManagerWe are currently seeking a full-time Residential Care Managers to provide coverage for our new 15 bed Bridge Home Project.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, advocate with a passion for community service.

This project will directly serve women experiencing homelessness and provide an opportunity to become a part of the launch of a unique experience aimed at resolving the homeless issue affecting Los Angeles County by providing a clear path towards permanent housing.Please indicate shift of interest: (7:30am-4:00pm, 3:30pm-12:00am, 11:30pm-8:00am)Position Responsibilities Include:Use of knowledge, support and advocacy skills to engage with clients on daily basis to maintain a safe and supportive experience in the programAssist Program Coordinator and case manager in aspects of client enrollment, advocacy, resource linkages and program adherencePreparation, coordination and service of mealsConflict intervention and de-escalation using professional techniques and trauma-based skillsetProvide monitoring and ensure that shelter is accessed only by permitted parties only by authorizing the entrance and exit of deemed clients, employees, vendors and other authorized individualsProvide site security by regular patrol of site, ensure safe practices and guideline adherence by clientsEnsure accurate recording of client daily sign-in/out logConduct bag/belongings search and screening for each individual participant enrolling in program prior to entry and upon regular daily return to site for every client.

Enforce guidelines regarding items allowed on site for safety purposesConduct scheduled room checks for adherence to safety/cleanliness standards, monitor and report any safety concerns in relation to residential programEnsure safety of site by reporting any maintenance needs and physical site issuesContact police or appropriate parties in case of emergency and ability to lead evacuation and/or ensure other safety protocols are followedAll additional duties as assigned, as this is not a comprehensive list of duties, shifts and schedules not guaranteed are determined by the needs of the residentsQualifications:BS Degree or Education in mental health, social services or comparable field desired.Previous experience with homeless population, particularly issues related to women experiencing homelessness, in a residential or related living facility and related culture.
