Senior Director Insights and Analytics – Remote

The Sr Director Insights and Analytics will develop, lead, and oversee all key customer primary & secondary market research, forecasting, marketing data analytics and competitive intelligence platforms to drive strategy, support business decision making, and measure select tactics outcomes.

The Director will ensure market research and competitive intelligence lead to clearly articulated insights and actionable implications to strengthen understanding of marketplace dynamics, inform strategic brand planning and tactics, and drive commercial development.

Reporting to the Executive Director Global Marketing, this role will have one direct report dedicated to Palforzia but will lead the work to commercialize Seres-109 in collaboration with Seres.

This position will work with US and OUS commercial teams and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within Aimmune Therapeutics.

Responsibilities
– Market Research, Insights & Analytics

• Develop and execute the market research plans to support brand strategies

• Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to help them define their business questions, articulate how these impact strategic objectives, and propose sound methodologies and recommended vendors to answer those business questions

• Develop and elevate the problem definition, methodology recommendation, data collection, and analysis and reporting capabilities at Aimmune Therapeutics

• Prioritize key business questions and manage workload in a way that has the most impact on the business

• Manage RFPs, vendor selection, and vendor engagement

• Set clear expectations with vendors and insist on appropriate study designs within timelines, budgets, and scope and for delivery of meaningful reports and insights.

• Proactively identify gaps in available research and plan, execute, and deliver routine and ad-hoc primary and secondary market research to the commercial teams

• Utilize existing market research and available data sources to address information and insights

• Develop and continuously improve reporting and tracking mechanisms, both tools and processes, to support effective and accurate market research data collection and analysis

• Integrate and synthesize multiple data sources, including primary, secondary, and syndicated data to report key market and product trends and insights to internal stakeholders

Other Responsibilities

• Support short-term demand forecasting and develop and maintain analytics dashboards to monitor key performance indicators. 

• Provide operational analyses to support launch planning for Seres-109 and Palforzia OUS launches, and in-line analysis of customer uptake and behavior for Palforzia in the US.

• As needed, support NPP, BD and the Lifecycle team in key market research projects to support pipeline advancement

• Develop, own, and manage the market research budget

• Develop and coach members of the insights and analytics team

• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards and procedures in every interaction.

Enforce compliance with guidelines and policies on marketing research interaction

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, Data Science, or Other Analytical Focus)

• 10+ years of experience in market research, marketing, analytics, commercial &/or payer assessment function with direct pharma/biotech/device/diagnostics OR consulting for these industries is required

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ year(s) of leadership experience with demonstrated success in employee development, coaching, hiring, and performance management

• Ability to combine primary data sources and secondary market research insights to support commercial strategy development, sales and marketing deliverables and forecasting

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment and partner with external/internal stakeholders

• Strong business acumen, problem solving skills and expert analytical skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to prioritize cross functional projects and maintain high degree of accuracy amid competing deadlines

• Strong vendor management skills and ability to effectively manage to budget

• Command of Microsoft software programs (PowerPoint, Excel)
