Senior Director, Commercial Planning & Distribution

Lead US region strategy for channel and route to market, AOP planning and stewardship, Support sales team with customer and distributor selling and insights decks, Manage and lead broker and distributor relationships and management

Responsibilities 

Develop and implement commercial strategies for the US Region, that align with target company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.

Develops and leads channel strategy for all CBD products (human and pet), Storz & Bickle and This Works, working with RGM to build price/pack and brand architecture across retail, on premise and ecommerce channels.

Leads Route to Market Strategy for Broker and Distributor Management, taking into account channel, geography and customer coverage.

Manages relationships with Key distributors and leads team that calls on distributor network.

Manages the team of distribution managers to manage day to day operations with distributors and brokers.

Leads quarterly joint business planning for major brokers and distributors.

Lead matrix organization that includes consumer and shopper insights, category management, Revenue Growth Management, sales reporting and analytics, and sales enablement to build channel, brand and product category strategies, focused on driving topline growth, optimizing margin and delivering CAM targets.

Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.).

Support Channel Directors with category and insight reviews for major customers and distributors, leveraging cross functional support teams to develop content.

Ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources to meet business objectives and streamline process.

Provide timely counsel to executives, by researching & evaluating risks, regarding successful execution of business plans and help operate with maximum effectiveness.

Maintain current knowledge legislation and keep abreast with changes.

Prepares Customer category and insights reviews, leveraging the matrix organization to support distributor and customer needs.

Prepares Executive Management Committee strategic monthly reviews in partnership with the US Region GM and Region leadership team.

Leads commercial projects and works cross functionally to deliver strategic plans that meets the changing market demands.

Works with Product Organization to inform commercial needs and provides meaningful market trends and analysis that informs the organization of region category landscape and needed support.

Leads Commercial meeting process that drives stewardship of the AOP across functions to drive alignment of the IDP and forecasts.

Provide leadership, support and guidance to team members in setting the strategy and monitor their progress towards organizational goals 

Provides feedback on an ongoing basis to identify and develop talent

Ensures and promotes the development of the team through coaching, training, and leadership development

Ensures a strong and robust communications process between managers and team members for effective collaboration

Experience

Strong analytics and financial acumen

Experience building strategies and turning those strategies into action, leading a team and developing talent, working across functions in a matrix organization

Minimum 4 year education degree

Experience in CPG

This is a full-time based out of Chicago IL or other major city in the US
