You will focus on lead generation and customer acquisition by managing and leading paid Google & Bing Search, organic search, content marketing, and the company blog to reach America’s Small Businesses.Each year there are millions of searches from small business owners looking for help with HR – 96% of the 5.6M small business owners in the United States do not have an HR Manager. This segment of the market employs 50% of all workers. This means most business owners in the country use search to help them navigate some of the most complex employee related issues a company faces. “Do I need sexual harassment training for my managers?” “How do I look for bias in my company’s hiring practices?” “How much should a top performing employee get paid when giving them a raise?” These are just a few examples of the questions customers ask.Bambee is a category creator. The dedicated HR Manager as a service now makes us the largest provider of HR Managers to Businesses in America. The SEM Manager’s job is to capture the demand in our category, using search to reach our customers and continue our hyper growth trajectory. As the SEM Manager you will learn & study all of Bambee products and services (HR Autopilot, HR Manager, Workforce training, Guided Payroll & Health Benefits), build strategies that dramatically expand our keyword reach, and measure your efforts by hitting lead generation, revenue, and efficiency targets. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Operations, you will focus on developing campaigns that focus on high converting search terms to drive rapid growth. In addition, focusing on high volume search terms combined with re-targeting efforts to drive longer term growth. You’ll also manage the SEO & Content roadmap, working with our SEO Agency, engineering, and product teams to rapidly expand Bambee’s organic search presence.The 3 Key Obsessions of the RoleChannel Growth & Innovation – You command growth in Bambee’s customer base, maintaining a Fail Fast, Learn Fast mindset to converge quickly on solutions and expand our footprint in the marketplace. There is a commitment to the endless pursuit of perfecting the cycle between testing and deploying new search terms. You ideate through novel methods to tapping into potential customers on the media channels while remaining true to our core mission and current customer base.Customer Empathy – You will be intimately familiar with the Bambee customer. You have increased sensitivity to customer pain points, frustrations, and anxieties. Using this, you validate and add qualitative color to the data on successful search terms. You are constantly testing what resonates with our customer, with the ultimate goal of being able to anticipate what our customer is thinking.Strategic Initiatives, Insights & Analysis – Recommend go-forward strategies on how to grow Bambee’s customer base while keeping a keen eye on efficiency and optimizing for capital. Collaborate cross functionally with sales and finance to ensure that marketing campaigns are not only hitting goals but exceeding expectations. Understand key performance indicators in what they are telling us, but equally as important, what they are not telling us. Employ hypothesis-driven thinking to narrow down on solution growth strategies quicker.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day performance of Google Ad campaignsImprove results with rigorous optimizations of keywords, ads, and bid strategiesGenerate keyword lists and forecast volume, manage campaigns, review search query reports for positive and negative keyword additions, manage experimentsMaximize performance by leveraging data to inform budgeting decisionsGuide SEO keyword strategy based on internal and external research toolsOptimize copy and landing pages to drive organic trafficCollaborate with the internal marketing team on content strategyPrepare strategic marketing plans based upon team goalsAnalyze and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts, making improvements when neededLeverage automation to improve processes and productivityRequirements5+ years experience managing multi-million annual budgets across both Google and Bing Ads as part of an agency or in-house marketing teamExpert in Search Engine Marketing (Google, Bing, etc.) with a focus on performance marketing campaigns (CPA, ROI, ROAS.)Extensive knowledge of paid search best practices, campaign creation, automated bidding strategies, and management/testingIn-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running paid search campaigns (particularly Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and YouTube)Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendationsAbility to work cross collaboratively with internal marketing teamsGoogle Adwords and Bing certification a plusExperience with SQL, data mining, marketing, and BI tools.
