Requirements: 

  • Experience: 4-6 years’ experience in Sanitation or in Food/Beverage manufacturing. Knowledge of master cleaning schedule, have developed & implemented SSOP’s, and knowledge of titration of chemicals and chemical concentrations is strongly preferred. Experience with performing CIP and/or COP is required. Knowledge of SQF requirements is also preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
  • Languages:  Bilingual – English/Spanish (required)
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (required)

Job Description:

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines by creating and developing department SOPs, maintaining records for SQF certification and audits, and systematically ordering and logging the inventory of cleaning products/supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains operational requirements by assigning daily tasks to Sanitation employees, 
  • Onboards/trains new hires.
  • Utilizes the Master Sanitation Schedule to schedules employees in accordance with business needs; 
  • Manages employee performance.
  • Adheres to OSHA compliance and all federal/state regulatory requirements by partnering with Human resources to conduct safety trainings, walk-throughs, and team meetings.
  • Performs daily checks on personnel for shortages and replacements.
  • Monitors workload for the day and controls labor according to budgetary guidelines.
  • Conducts pre-operational inspections of the facility.
  • Maintains and improves upon the cleanliness of the facility and department by inspecting equipment in accordance with the schedule, creating work orders to replenish necessary supplies, ensures the beautification of the facility, and completing and submitting requisitions for the repair and replacement of power cleaning machinery.

  • Ability to independently set department priorities, workload, assignments, and meet multiple deadlines
  • Takes initiative and proactively seeks opportunities for improvement in process and workstreams
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain accountability of results
  • Knowledge of GMPs, OSHA requirements, and chemical handling

Job Details:

  • Work Hours: Shift: ~2:00am to ~12:00pm Monday thru Friday (8-10 Hours), and availability for occasional weekend work.
  • Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of the work, each employee’s own safety and the safety of others, and the need to interact with the public.
